CSSIP's Education Program addresses one of the CRC's core functions.
Its objectives are to:
- Redress the national shortage of postgraduates in signal and
information processing,
- Transfer technology by involving research students in projects
with commercial outcomes
- Deliver innovative training and education courses to research
and commercial communities
The following parts of the program have been taken over by NICTA:
Short Courses
CSSIP conducts a short course
program with participants mainly from industry and DSTO. Technical
course presenters are internationally renowned experts in their
field. Courses are held across Australia and other locations nationally
and internationally.
Seminars
"State of
the Art Seminars" are presented on a regular basis using
internationally renowned experts to present these seminars in
their particular area of expertise.
Customised Training
Customised training courses
tailored to the needs of individual organisations are delivered
in any location as well as the training facilities at CSSIP headquarters
in Mawson Lakes, South Australia.
The Online Masters Program has been taken over by
The University of Adelaide:
The Master of Mathematical Sciences
(Signal and Information Processing) through The University
of Adelaide is offered on-line, giving access from anywhere in
the world focussing on telecommunications and signal processing.
Postgraduate Research
With CSSIP performing a significant role in the fields of sensor
and signal processing Postgraduate
Research Students enrol at one of the five Universities participating
in the Centre.
